Additions and renovations to the Post Hotel at Lake Louise — the historic turn-of-the-century lodge in Banff National Park — blending old and new so successfully that the hotel's historical integrity was maintained throughout.

The addition placed a pub at the lower level, a library above, and banquet facilities beside the dining room; large heavy-timber suites were renovated as sleeping lofts with wood-burning fireplaces, slate-floored bathrooms and limestone vanities. Later phases added new staff accommodations and — completed in January 2005 — a refurbished pool, exercise room, spa treatment rooms, and an enlarged wine-tasting and storage room for the hotel's celebrated cellar.
