Sobre Los Cerros — "upon the hills" — is a private courtyard residence organized around a long, black-edged reflecting pool. Low tile-roofed wings and an open loggia frame the water court, dissolving the boundary between garden and interior; at its heart, a music pavilion opens fully to the terrace.

The house reflects the studio's range beyond the West Coast modern idiom: a warm, traditionally rooted composition of stucco, clay tile and timber, handled with the same restraint and attention to light, reflection and landscape that runs through all of the firm's work.
