Waterfront Station Renovation

Location: 601 West Cordova Street, Vancouver · Type: Heritage Renovation

Renovation work at Waterfront Station, the landmark 1914 neo-classical Canadian Pacific Railway terminal at the foot of Granville Street — today the hub joining SeaBus, SkyTrain and West Coast Express beneath one coffered concourse ceiling.

Recovered drawings detail the restoration of the grand concourse bays along Cordova Street — new glazing, painted steel and restored plasterwork within the original arched openings — while period photographs record the concourse interior and the fully glazed elevator added to make the heritage station accessible.

Drawings and photographs recovered from the studio's original website and archive via the Internet Archive.
